Windows USB install error

I made a windows xp flash drive to install windows xp using easy2boot on my old laptop but when I enter step two it doesn't work and says that I'm missing files, I can't figure out the solution as I'm a beginner so I'd really appreciate if you could help me.

Thanks,

Maybe the hard disk that you are installing to is partitioned as a GPT disk? Was it previously used as a Win10/11 UEFI GPT disk?

You need to repeat XP Install Step 1  but delete ALL partitions on the target hard disk.

If that doesnt work, boot to a Windows 10 Install ISO.

At the Windows 10 Setup screen - press SHIFT + F10

At the CMD prompt type DISKPART

In DISKPART prompt type  LIST DISK

Look at hard disk that is listed - is there a GPT column and is it ticked/marked?

If so you need to use

SELECT DISK X  (where X is the disk number)

CLEAN

CONVERT MBR

LIST DISK   (check not GPT any more)

EXIT

Now reboot and start XP Install step 1 again.

Thank you soo much! It worked
